How many spaces do you have? Do you have a waiting list?

We are a small operation compared to other centres. Our operating license caters for a maximum of 40 children, with 10 spaces for Under 2’s. We can experience high demand, with the possibility we are unable to provide you with your first choice. We can place your name on a waiting list, and will contact you when space becomes available.

Does Green Leaf Early Learning close over the holiday period?

Green Leaf Early Learning is closed on the observed New Zealand Stat Holidays, otherwise we are open year round.

Do you have any Trained Teachers?

Green Leaf Early Learning has qualified and fully Registered Teachers.

We also have Support Staff who provide assistance to the teaching programme to improve teacher to child ratios.

Does your centre provide any Government Subsidies?

We are a provider for the following Government support/subsidies that help reduce costs associated with Parent Fees.

What are your Parent Fees?

Green Leaf Early Learning specialises in a structured day session.

Parent Fees help cover the costs associated with the day to day operations, including staff wages.

Do you have a programme that supports my child’s transition to school?

Our Tui room is a dedicated programme for our older children with an emphasis on numeracy and literacy based activities. The curriculum is led by a registered teacher and mirrors the primary school hours each day. Children’s ideas and interests (children’s voice) are well supported and encouraged with a balanced approached of ‘Child led play and Teacher led learning.

How do I book a time to visit the centre?

We would love to meet you! To see the centre in action, the best times to visit are 9.30am - 11.30am and/or 1.30pm - 3pm. Monday to Friday.

We encourage you to book an ‘Organised Visit’. Please fill out the form on the ‘Contact Page’ with a time and date that suits you, and we will respond ASAP . An Organised Visit will be facilitated by a staff member who will show you the centre, introduce you to the teaching team, answer any questions you may have. During your visit we will walk you through the enrolment process, provide information relating to spaces available, an Enrolment Form, and provide any additional information on request.

We also welcome ‘Spontaneous visits’. It is important to share that if a ‘Spontaneous Visit’ occurs, we may have all of the teaching staff busy in contact with children. and may not be able to answer all questions at the time.
